This layout

  • Seven columns, small frames, many to a page
  • Filename and date taken under each photo
  • In the order the photos were taken
  • Undated photos go at the end, by name

Photo labs used to put an index print in every envelope: one sheet showing every picture on the roll. It's still the quickest way to see what's on a backup drive or in a box of old prints you've scanned. Drop the folder, download the PDF, and keep it with the files.

The date comes from each photo's own EXIF data. Scans and screenshots often have none; they're placed at the end, in filename order.

How it works

Three frames, one sheet

  1. 1 ▸1A

    Drop the photos

Files, a whole folder or a ZIP, from a camera card, a phone or a scanner. Hundreds are fine.

  2. 2 ▸2A

    Set the sheet

Paper, columns, captions from each photo's EXIF, light or film style. The first page updates as you go.

  3. 3 ▸3A

    Download the PDF

Sharp thumbnails at 300 ppi and searchable captions, ready to print, email or file with the negatives.

One-time unlock
